An intro to indicator groups
RankinWorld divides the indicators thematically into 11 groups + the default one for easier navigation. The groups differ in size a lot since some categories of data are much more broad and commonly collected than others.
Default: A small set of all-rounded and decently populated indicators intended to provide a quick general overview on the countries from multiple axes, trying to capture the overall "quality of life".
Business: Shows corporate firm-level indicators and related aggregates.
Demography: Explores everything regarding general population state, dynamics, income and employment.
Ecology: Contains indicators related to harmful emissions and clean technologies spread.
Education: Contains indicators about education levels across the population.
Energy: Collects data of electrical sustainability of the countries and its structure.
Finance: A pretty in-depth category of complex financial statistics about capital, reserves, savings, financial system health, etc.
Government: Contains indicators concerning specifically government effectiveness. Holds a lot of premade indexes used by the World Bank.
Health: Population health category. Extensively covers mortality rates, various infections, food safety, hygiene, etc.
Infrastructure: Contains indicators mostly concerning how well the country is covered for the electronic devices and internet usage, both on a personal level and for commercial use. Differs from the Energy category in the way that Energy covers electricity production while Infrastructure covers consumption.
Military: A small category about military-related financial flows and conflicts involvement.
Trade: A broad category encompassing all data about goods and services production and consumption.
